Neurodegenerative diseases are often associated with the slow accumulation of neurotoxic aggregates in specific subsets of neurons. The resulting neuronal cell death accounts for the debilitating physical and mental symptoms patients suffer.

As our population is ageing, neurodegenerative diseases are becoming an increasing burden on the health-care system. Oxford BioDynamics is focusing on developing technology for early diagnostics, patient monitoring, prognosis and companion diagnostics to drug therapies.
